This charming establishment offers a one-of-a-kind experience with its old-fashioned service and delicious food. Nestled in a beautifully scenic part of Connecticut, I truly enjoy both the shop and the surrounding area.

The pies make this restaurant a must-visit! Absolutely incredible!!

We stopped by for some coffee, which turned out to be quite good. While we were there, we noticed some éclairs and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, it took a long time for them to serve us, and we only received two éclairs instead of our order of one vanilla and one chocolate; they accidentally gave us two chocolate ones. The pastry was too thick and dry, although the filling was tasty. Paying $8 for an éclair feels outrageous. On a brighter note, the young woman who took our order was very pleasant.

The food at this restaurant is simply amazing! The hot roast beef grinder topped with caramelized onions was exceptionally tender and packed with flavor. We also picked up a homemade blueberry peach pie for a picnic, and it was one of the best pies I've ever tasted—the flavor and crust were both delightful. We can't wait to come back and try their pizza and an éclair!
