I love the concept of this restaurant! I mean they had me at State Fair desserts but who doesn't love some chicken tenders and fries? Then you add in their delicious sauces and wings, their chicken sandwich that definitely gives Popeye's a run for it's money, PLUS if you need a gluten free option you can try their grilled tender salad. You really can't go wrong here.. There is something for EVERYBODY! Dave the owner is the sweetest guy so definitely say hi when you visit!
The food here is delicious. Their chicken sandwich is AMAZING and I enjoyed it more than the sandwiches offered by competitors. They have so many tasty dessert and side options as well. I loved the vast array of fry options and their tenders are great as well. And to top it all off, the owner here is incredibly friendly and always takes the time to greet us and say hello. You can tell he's extremely passionate about his restaurant, and it's great to get to support a local business like this one.
With everything going on, I 've been trying to support local more than usual. Today I may have found the greatest thing $3 can buy, elote nuggets. These things are amazing. I also got the chicken sandwich, spicy, which was delicious as well. Was hoping for a corn dog after seeing all of the fair food , but maybe in the future ????. I will definitely head back when I need a fried chicken fix or in the mood for a funnel cake.
Deep fried bliss is what I call the food here. The chicken was my absolute favorite part of the meal. It was coated well in frying batter and it was super crunchy. The Cluckin Sauce was also, like, the best fried chicken sauce ever. The fried oreos were an absolute close second and reminded me of the State Fair of Texas. Food that triggers memories is something that is rarely found but always cherished. That being said, the Garlic Parmesan fries were kind of soggy and not super reminiscent of garlic and parmesan. I also wasn?t thrilled with the sauces. While the selection is vast, many of them were lackluster. The Honey Mustard didn?t have enough honey, and neither did the Honey Barbecue. The Chili Sauce tasted almost exactly like the Sweet and Sour sauce. Overall, pretty good place.
Overall pleased with our experience here. The portion sizes are decent and all the food was very hot and fresh. Chicken breading was crispy, and but I think there could be some improvement with flavor. I got the chicken sandwich ?spicy? but couldn?t tell that it was spicy. The sandwich was good overall but I would suggest including a choice on heat level! A good selection of sauces are available, all the ones we tried were good, I?d recommend both the Sriracha ranch and the cluckin? house sauce. Curly fries and regular fries were also great! I think what they?re trying to do to support the community is also great.
