Also, it has become increasingly difficult to order by phone as it's 50/50 they'll answer. I even try calling outside of prime times and it doesn't seem to help.
I’m highly disappointed in Carrington Coffee today! I generally come here 3 out of 4 Saturday’s per month but today was HORRIBLE to say the least! Food, great! Coffee, fantastic! Service— awful! The young man who took our order just wasn’t a good listener at all. He messed everything up from start to finish! We’re a family of five so we each had a coffee and a food item. The food was extremely slow to deliver and every single person had the wrong food or something wrong with their order. My husband and I don’t eat pork, and I kept getting pork options sent to me when I specifically asked for turkey! I’m in total disbelief because this is one of my favorite spots in Collierville! Let’s pull it together Carrington!
During our trips out of town, we usually like to check out independent coffee shops to get a taste of the local flavors. We found this coffeehouse not too far from our hotel and decided to try them out.The outside of the building is beautiful, though it's situated on the first floor of an apartment community. Walking in, we were greeted by the baristas who patiently explained what their menu options were. After we placed our order, we patiently waited over on the side for our coffee to come out. It was during this time that we saw the baristas lose a bit of their professionalism by joking and kidding with each other. We get it, it's important to have fun at work, but we were waiting for our order to come out and they seemed to take their time after we paid. Also, the coffee we were given lacked any distinct flavor profiles that would set them apart from its competitors. It seemed as if they use run of the mill espresso beans from Starbucks or Peet's Coffee where the beans are often burnt and lack any distinct notes. Too much milk was used, even for a cappuccino. Overall, they were depressing espressos and we felt like we overpaid for what we received.
Cute little coffee shop with really good breakfast sandwiches! I work across from this shop and they're usually pretty busy, which speaks to how good the food and staff are! I normally grab breakfast here on my way in to work, but I've also had a lunch sandwich, which was equally yummy, so the food is definitely worth the stop! I have dined in, as well as gotten it to go, and this is where there is room for improvement. I use to order online, but found the online ordering to be confusing and not very well laid out. When I expressed this, it was met with awareness and I was encouraged to call in future orders. I took their advice and started calling in my orders, but I've encountered a few times over the last month where the call wasn't answered. As a fellow small business owner, I hate there is probably money being left on the table by what seems to be an inefficient order intake system. A better functioning/designed website could reeeally help with this. Essentially shifting resources and possibly opening the option for an additional cook, which could help the traffic flow, wait times and ultimately, the amount of customers served! With such good food and warm/friendly staff, more people should experience this place! I'd definitely be giving 5 stars if the order intake was more seamless and efficient. Being in a business corridor, this place could really be Thee go to for a delicious, quick meal! I hope they have a plan to improve this aspect of their business because everything else, chefs kiss!Parking: One way in and one way out.
We wanted a place to enjoy a coffee and relax, enjoying the beautiful weather- this fit the bill to a “T”. The barista did a fabulous job and the coffee was superb. I will be back if I am in the area!
