David Grisanti's On Main - Collierville

I want to begin by saying that I'm not the biggest fan of Italian cuisine. However, my wife absolutely loves it, and we've struggled to find a good Italian restaurant. The last time I enjoyed decent Italian food was when I was a child, dining at Big John's on Airways. This place deserves a 10-star rating if it were possible! I will definitely be returning!

We ordered five entrees, but four of them were not properly cooked. Three were shrimp, which is supposed to be their specialty, and the other was a meatball meant for a toddler! I'm not sure when I'll feel comfortable eating shrimp again; it's hard to shake off a disappointing dining experience. This was our first visit, and it will definitely be our last. You would think they would at least offer a complimentary dessert, but that didn’t happen. I'm really unhappy with this experience!

The location is great since it’s situated within a fantastic antique mall. While the food is decent, I'm really taken aback by the prices. Charging $20 for basic spaghetti, nearly $30 for fettuccine alfredo, and almost $25 for eggplant parmesan feels outrageous—especially when eggplants are just $1.49 at Kroger!

I wasn't overly impressed with this place. The bruschetta was good but the fried ravioli and lobster bisque just didn't have enough flavor for me. I think the other guests with me enjoyed their meals well enough, but we all agreed that we wouldn't come back.

Our server didn't seem to have enough time for us. He cleared two appetizer plates and left one behind. he recommended the fried cheese balls and they were cold and not all that good. He told us we needed to split the large caesar salad because the side salad was too small. The large was huge and not necessary but an upcharge for him. he told us the pizza was small for two people to share and we took half of it back to the hotel. The salad and bread were delicious but the pizza was just okay.
