The pizza was wood fired and had a light and crunchy sourdough crust, with the standout being the “Queen Margherita”. Set just off Smith St, the place has a casual vibe. However, as a local I can tell you that it can get quite loud and boisterous towards the weekend!
One of my favourite pizza parlours in Melbourne. Lazerpig serves authentic Italian pizzas, wood fired of course, paired with the laid back vibe you can only find in Collingwood. The disco ball and pink walls are EVERYTHING.
Our favorite spot for lunch in Collingwood, offering a great deal of a 10-inch pizza and a soft drink for $15. We've been here about 30 times and it never disappoints. The burger lunch deal is surprisingly good and the staff is always friendly. Just be aware that the "Mary had a little lamb" dish only has a small amount of lamb. We would love to see deep dish pizzas included in the lunch deal. Overall, we will definitely be returning as it has become a Friday lunch tradition for us.
The pizza was great and the atmosphere was cool. Unfortunately, the bar staff were unfriendly and didn't make me feel welcome. Additionally, when I asked for chilli flakes on my pizza, they brought me hot sauce instead. I was surprised to find out that the hot sauce cost $4. Something to consider.
The restaurant has a dim and funky atmosphere, but the pizza is great. The crust is soft with a bit of chew and a light crispness and char, and the dough itself has a delicious flavor. The "Mary had a little lamb" pizza has a fantastic combination of garlic, lamb, red onion, fresh cheese, and rosemary. Unfortunately, the hand-cut chips looked a bit sad - they were rustic but also wilted and wrinkled. Overall, one of the best pizzas I've had in Melbourne, but I would probably recommend skipping the chips.
