We shared a pastel the choclo (sweetcorn pie filled with meat and chicken) that was very tasty. And then we had slowed cooked meat (called plateada) that in my mind was a bit dry but tasty. Mine came with rice that absorbed all the meat juices. That was the highlight. Really good. After that they gave us some polenta (semolina) flan covered in like honey, quite nice but too sweet for me. Really cheap £36 for 4 adults!!!
The dining experience was fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly. We tried the meat sandwiches with fries, which were both delicious and generously portioned. I highly recommend this place. We even sat outside with our dog.
Excellent service and homemade food, delicious and very, very abundant. A classic on Route 5 before the Malleco viaduct from the north.
The Paleta Restaurant offers a generous meal with dessert and coffee included at a reasonable price. The service is fast, and Teresa, a woman who works there, is very friendly and welcoming. The "picá de truckeros" is highly recommended. They accept card payments and are located near Temuco, on the frontage road in front of a Petrob gas station. Highly recommended!
