We were in this hotel, best western in colmar station and had planned to eat in the city on Saturday night, but everything was already booked so that we could arrange for a table and since we were guests they took our reservation for a late. dinner we had a beautiful chouc route that was enormous with a beautiful bottle of local wine. the service was excellent and attentive despite the busy evening. that was a beautiful surprise in front of our doorstep! highly recommended and do not forget to reserve it.
My wife and I went here after a recommendation of our hotel. I thought it was excellent generous and tasty courses that were washed by an excellent local pinot noir. the food was delicious, the service excellent (our waiter spoke English so my gcse. French was not necessary this time). it had a really nice, unavoidable ambiente of the art, which is so common in france, but so rare in england nowadays. highly recommended.
Three generations had a nice dinner. the servants were busy but very attentive and friendly. my faux filet was perfect, they misunderstood that we wanted cooked kartoffels, not fried. Anyway, a good experience.
We had a terrible experience in the Brasserie. Our hotel recommended the place for diner and booked us a table. That was me with my husband and our two small kids. We arrived to the place at hence most of the guests already took...their tables, the brasserie was half busy. We were given a place, but we politely asked if it would be possible to change it as the kids would feel more comfortable sitting at a bench, not at a chair. Regardless of available table with benches we were told in a very rude way that all tables are reserved. At Btw, none of the table had a reservation sign on it. After some discussion that we tried to continue in a polite way, we had an impression that the stuff is doing everything to make us leave. I am not sure what made them act that way because we are foreigners or because we came with small kids that might disturb the permanent clients their actions were rude and inhumane. It’s the worst experience we had in France for the long time.
