Contribuisci feedbackOur family has been loyal customers of this restaurant since it opened in 1978. We have celebrated many special occasions here and have regularly ordered food for delivery. However, on our most recent attempt to order, the manager, Mr. Kenneth, was very rude and refused to make the delivery without explanation. This was a surprising and disappointing experience for us. I would not recommend this restaurant to others in Sri Lanka.
The menu was extensive, but the food was of poor quality and not authentic Chinese. It was disappointing, as there are much better Chinese restaurants in Colombo.
Our experience at Flower Drum was extremely disappointing. The quality and standards of the restaurant have declined significantly. The barbecue pork ribs were deep fried in oil that had been used to fry fish, resulting in a fishy taste and smell. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like watered-down tomato sauce, and the fried rice was bland. The only decent dish was the soup. Although we were tired and hungry, we quietly expressed our disappointment to the waiter, who was attentive and relayed our feedback to the manager and chefs. We have decided to not visit Flower Drum again and have removed it from our list of restaurants to revisit.
The food was delicious although the service was terribly poor. Had to keep asking staff for water refills 3-4 times before they attended to after I walked over to the counter to ask if there’s an issue with water. The waiter in charge (Ahamed) gave us complete arrogance and attitude and there after tried to clear plates before we had finished dining and tried to give us the bill. Overall experience was very unpleasant due to this and the management should look into this kind of behavior of employees
Had been awhile since I dined here. Met up with a friend who grew up with Flower Drum. The food was as yummy as we remembered it. Service was good and prices reasonable.
