Voc Cafe - Colombo

Ordered the Chicken Lamprais, would not recommend to anyone. Poor quantity for the price. Poor quality, the taste was off.Did not continue eating unfortunately.I won't be ordering again nor will be recommending this cafe to anyone. Plus the phone lines are always busy when I tried to call and complain.

Ordered rice and curry for lunch. Group of six ladies. Food was served on to the plate and only fish or meat was served separately. Portion is one piece of chicken. Food was very spicy. The foreign lady who joined us for lunch couldn't eat the curries though she was looking forward to having Sri Lankan food. Their speciality Home made Ginger beer was also not available. Disappointing. I give two stars for the ambience, pleasant environment and good service. Prices of food items have been increased but quality has gone down.

Ordered a chicken lamprai, only to be met with a shocking disappointment when it arrived. The portion size was laughably ridiculous! Compared to a regular person, I don’t eat much. But still I found the portion to be insufficient for lunch. For Rs 1320, this is definitely a rip off! For this to be a complete/proper meal, you’ll need 1.5x-2x of the portion size given. This otherwise 1 star review is 3 stars instead because it actually tasted pretty good. Definitely one of the best lamprais I’ve tasted. If it had a proper portion, this would’ve been a 5 star review.

Excellent food but a little pricey. Best to check out the prices prior. Value for money is subjective, so to each his own.

Excellent nosh.... fantastic ambience. Great service.. Nice Sunday lunch with family or friends... Will definitely revisit.
