We enjoyed Buttered Chicken (definitely the standout dish), Molai Kofta, Bangan Bertha, and Garlic Naan. One of each was more than enough to satisfy both of us. This remains my favorite spot for Indian food in the Springs.
This restaurant offers authentic, freshly prepared northern Indian cuisine, reminiscent of dishes from near New Delhi. The decor is quite simple, featuring tables adorned with tablecloths, booths, and an aging carpet. It's located in a strip mall, which makes parking easy. While chatting with an older Indian couple there, they remarked that it was the best Indian food they had found in The Springs. The walls are decorated with awards for best Indian food from previous years. The food itself was acceptable. The Saturday brunch, priced around $10, included both vegan and meat options. The tandoori chicken was juicy, and the mango pudding was delightful. It was relatively quiet on the Saturday before Mother's Day; however, the buffet area was messy, with food spilled around the dishes. I observed that Raj was the only staff member present besides those in the kitchen. He cheerfully greeted customers, seated them, processed payments, and attempted to keep the food area stocked, but the restaurant could have benefited from someone dedicated to clearing tables and maintaining the cleanliness of the buffet. I would consider returning for a weekday lunch with coworkers looking for a change from Mexican or fast food, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a date.
I 'm torn with how to rate this place. We came for the lunch buffet. We got there at 12:30 and none of the bins were more than a third full, at most, and there was NO naan, so it was a very disappointing start. The saag paneer had no cheese lumps. That said, the flavor of the food that we did get was tasty enough. The butter chicken was sort of dry, and a third of the items weren 't labeled, but their curry flavors tasted good. Not much for vegetable options other than saag paneer and something that was potatoes and cauliflower but had almost no cauliflower. Their tandoori chicken was my favorite. At about 1 o 'clock they had started replenishing many of the items that were out. The restaurant was humid and stale. There was no music playing for the first 3/4 of our visit. It was difficult to get to the buffet without walking all the way around the outside. Our waters were poured with no ice into glasses that had spots and fingerprints on them. The two guys on the main floor we 're working hard, but I just wasn 't impressed. The restaurant was dingy. This will be my first and last visit here. I give them a three for the flavor, but I didn 't really care for anything else I experienced here.
This was our first visit to India Palace. We bought a $20 gift card from restaurant.com, but upon arriving, we learned it was actually four $5 gift cards. It wasn't a big issue since we plan to return; we love Indian food! The restaurant was really good and rivals our other favorite Indian spots. The service was excellent, and the food was full of flavor. The only area for improvement would be the atmosphere, as the walls lacked decoration. However, that’s a minor complaint. We are definitely looking forward to returning to India Palace!
First time here will be back next time I come through the springs food Tate's amazing device was excellent. We did the buffet cause it was quick and convenient, Nice selection. I gave 4 stars cause I feel there is always room for improvement. Not sure what it would be in this case.
