Lake Terrace Dining Room

I began with the mussels, which were among the best I've ever had. Next, I tried the pan-roasted filet mignon. It was excellent, but not quite as remarkable as the Bangs Island mussels. I also want to give a special thanks to our waiter, Voit, who was fantastic throughout the evening.

I had an excellent meal and service at The Summit, another outstanding restaurant at the Broadmoor. The cocktail prices were quite reasonable. Our server, Meaghan, was fantastic and informed us that the chef specializes in Peruvian cuisine. Following her recommendation, we tried the Peruvian Ceviche, and it was absolutely delicious! For our main courses, we thoroughly enjoyed the roast duck and the mushroom pot pie. The heirloom tomato salad on the side was a perfect addition, and the tomatoes were bursting with flavor. We didn't have any room left for dessert this time.

While the food was tasty, I found the portion size of my agnolotti dish quite disappointing compared to my friend's paella and chicken and rice dish. I realize they are different meals, but given the price, I expected more. On a positive note, I highly recommend the profiteroles for dessert!

My husband and I dined at the Summit on April 14, 2022. We have dined at the Summit several times in our previous stays at the Broadmoor. I had the Imperial Salad which can best be described as a chopped salad with zero flavor. Needless to say, I did not finish it. My husband had the Caesar salad which he said was quite nice (1 point). I had the roasted chicken as an entree and my husband had the paella. The chicken looked appealing, but was bland at best. The scallops in my husband's entree were not fully cooked, thus we both left more on our plates than we actually consumed. I honestly cannot recommend this restaurant. If you want a good meal at a decent price in the Springs, go to Cowboy Star!

My wife and I dined here for Valentine's Day during our stay at The Broadmoor and had a wonderful evening. The menu was delicious and creative and we enjoyed every selection that our waiter recommended. A highlight of our visit!
