Contribuisci feedbackI am so disappointed with this place : . We started going here years ago when it first opened but this is a totally different establishment now, and not a good one! In a nutshell, the service was terrible, our waiter was beyond RUDE and surly and it was absolutely freezing like they hadn't paid the heating bill). The food was mediocre at best and the server was super indifferent to the fact that my water glass was completely cracked through. Honestly it was just one of the WORST dining experiences we have had in a very long time! I have always had high hopes for this place because we have had some good memories here but I don't feel like this is the same place as it was over 12 years ago. MY husband and I have been in the service industry for over 30 years and we literally walked out of there shocked! $21 for a breakfast entree and freezing the whole time from the minute we walked in to the time we left? No thank you! If I wanted this to be my experience I would have sat outside and honestly the waiter was so rude I wasn't looking to pick a fight as he had already been nasty. We work with customers on a daily basis and recognize sarcasm and we are ok with that in the right circumstance. . We will never go back to this restaurant ever again. I'm happy to take my business elsewhere where at least I am valued as a customer. Please do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else! This is only my second 1star review ever. My friend had the same situation, same rudeness and mediocre food with high prices .
This is the 2nd time we've been here for breakfast. There was only one waitress she was stretched pretty thin. It looked like the manager was helping clean table but it was hard to make eye contact to ask for anything, I needed a menu again my husband ended up getting up just grabbing it himself. We were sitting by the window with the doors open this time of year there's a serious moth problem they were everywhere! Probably would've picked a booth closer inside instead. Our food was really good. I forgot what my husband had but my avocado toast was really good. We'd like to come back for their happy hours specials!
Huge fan of Urban Steam, especially now you can make reservations via Yelp! but besides that, the food here is top-notch whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. The drink menu is on point with a fresh expresso or a **** mary they have it all.
The food here is great. Big fan of the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately, the service is always mediocre. Every time we visit, the wait staff takes forever and there is usually always some error. Also, this place is way too crowded. They need to take out some tables or remodel because it always feels squished. While the food is great, the kitchen always seems overwhelmed which I think contributes to the service. I keep going back but it is slowly falling from my top choices. Now if we want to speak strictly on the coffee, I would come here any day for a cortado. Best coffee spot hands down.
I am so bummed, I have been coming here for years but hadn 't been in for a bit. Decided to stop in for breakfast this morning. Guy at front asked if we had reservations before commenting doesn 't anyone make reservations anymore? He directed us to a table but we felt so unwelcome, we left. I have been an Urban Steamer since before they even secured the extended space. If reservations are required for your establishment, post it, if not, don 't make someone feel bad or unwelcome for not having them.
