We ate at nice/popular restaurants almost every night and Three Forks was, hands down, the best dinner we had all week!! The chicken entree was delicious. And Emerson, our server, was very sweet and provided great service.
Our family identified Three Forks Grille as a destination for a nice dinner with their diverse and thoughtful menu. We ordered the Avocado Fritters and some sour dough bread with hummus as appetizers. The fritters were full of bright flavors and avocado. The bread was as expected, and the hummus drew many expressions of delight from our crew, especially with regard to what we thought was some spicy fresh garlic. The Stuffed Zucchini squash was a good seasonal option, but mostly unremarkable. Two of us ordered the Grilled Rainbow trout. We thought it was a delightful dish, and worth the trip for those of us who enjoy fish. Each element was complimentary and full of flavor. The hit of the menu for us however was the House Made Gnocchi. OMG! If we could order the yogurt cream by the gallon, we?d order 5 gallons for the trip back to Minnesota, and probably only get 1 gallon back before we devoured the rest. The gnocchi were tender and prepared just right. The alcohol selection was on point and provided many options to pair with your meal including a solid assortment of local options. The deserts looked tremendous though we opted to grab ice cream nearby instead.
STOP ?? right here??Absolutely fine dining Montana style. Chef Matt will rock your taste buds... Be sure to ask what the chef specials are. If Bison ribeye with morel mushrooms is available, you better order it. Definitely a local favorite. The scallops are simply amazing ?. The pork chop ? will have you in stitches. Their chicken risotto is so satisfying you will have to fight people from picking off your plate ?. Enjoy a libation of your choice as they have a plethora to choose from. Don't you fret as the have gluten free options. Have fun, take it all in, relax and top it off with delicious dessert.
Update: Jackie (I think was her name was an amazing waitress! Loved her sense of humor and banter with me and my family. The food was great, especially the desserts. The chocolate creme brulee was delicately smooth and perfectly chocolatey. VERY small amount, though. Didn't have shrimp this time so can't comment on mud veins, though. : The staff were very polite, attentive and nice. I liked the warm atmosphere and folksy music. The food was great except my shrimp risotto had partial MUD VEIN left in it. I am one that finds that absolutely disgusting, especially when paying a pretty penny for it, so I'm docking a star. We are locals so we'll give them another chance and hope it was a fluke.
Gastro Pub Grille with an eye on truly fine cuisine. Cozy and fun and in the heart of Montana ski country. The fresh fried oysters were amazing! The fresh mushroom soup with fresh picked mushrooms is over the top! Highly recommend next time you are in Montana. Three Forks Grille is amazing.
