J Peters - Columbia

I want to try something different at J. Peters besides the hamburger, but it's just so delicious that I can't resist ordering it every time. I always pair it with the loaded mashed potatoes, which are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is fantastic - the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the lighting is perfect. It has a classy yet casual vibe. My sister and I always enjoy the cheese dip with jalapenos. It's delicious. I definitely plan on returning as often as I can. I love it!

I am really enjoying the new location at Sparkleberry Square! The prime rib was amazing, the croissants were so delicious, and both the salads and desserts were fantastic! I will definitely be returning!

I spoke with the manager after our meal and was informed that they would need to contact the owner to see if allowing someone over 12 to order from the children's menu would be possible. I suggested possibly paying an upcharge for the item, which the manager said might be a possibility. I explained that we often order from the children's menu at other restaurants because of portion size. I recommended either implementing a small upcharge for those over 12 ordering from the children's menu or adding some of the children's menu items to the adult menu. Despite this issue, we still plan to visit J. Peters in Chapin regularly as we enjoy the food and atmosphere. However, we were disappointed by the customer service aspect regarding the children's menu situation.

I have eaten here multiple times and I have not had a bad thing yet. I love J Peters....The food is some of the best for the price. Proportions of food is more than enough to satisfy. The service I have received has been great. I will continue to eat there especially when I want a great steak cooked to perfection.<br/

This is one of my favorite restaurants! Chris, Katy, and Sara at the bar are excellent. The food is always fresh with plenty of options for everyone. Brandi has been our server for years. I highly recommend the prime rib or blackened chicken alfredo. You won't be disappointed.
