Heard a lot bad things about this place from Facebook, figured I'd give it a try and see for myself. Brought the fam with me Saturday around 7pm, but it was CLOSED! Giant sign in the window says open till 8pm, so what the heck? Ended up going to the Asian place a couple of doors down.Don't say you're open if you ain't open!

Ordered online for a delivery, and it came super timely! The shrimp etouffee was perfection, and if you ever get a chance to have Mama's hummingbird cake, run fast! This is a small biz worth supporting often. ?

It was a special day out with my son, and we decided to try this Cajun restaurant in Columbia. We both ordered the Mama special, and it was truly delicious. The seafood Gumbo was amazing, and the Jambalaya and Red Beans and Rice reminded me of Southwest Louisiana. We also bought one of Mama Sucre's homemade King Cakes. Thank you Mama Sucre for serving us authentic Southwest Louisiana Cajun cuisine with your cooking and charming Cajun accent!

Yea I went there twice first time was bad ... we got the beignet and they were burnt and flat with powdered sugar, and tasted only of old oil , so I assumed OK maybe it was just a bad first time so I gave them a second time to impress me, no same thing so honestly I think it 's more of a place you go because you know the person and you would like them versus a place to go and wanna be satisfied with the foods qualityWould I be I back ... no , have I been back ... no Was I excited when I thought they were gonna be good ... yes lol I don 't like when people open places and say it 's a x type of place and don 't do that place they are suppose to be representing justice it 's sad. But maybe one day they 'll be better ... or not idk , I won 't know But to end in a positive note ... I like the name a lot and even the doll they use as their logo I use to draw that same doll in middle school from an emo video back on MySpace days .. it was nice to see
