I visited Aromaku for the first time at the WARM Food Truck Festival on 9/15 as a first-timer. I had never tried Indonesian food before, so I decided to order the Lumpia Sayur (spring rolls) and Martabak (pancake/crispy wrapper filled with ground beef, spring onion, and egg). I found them absolutely delicious! It was a safe choice for someone new to Indonesian cuisine.
I had the pleasure of trying Aromaku for the first time at the beer tasting event at Seventh Son on Thursday. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Seventh Son and was thrilled to see that they collaborate with great food trucks, allowing patrons to enjoy local beer along with delicious food. I ordered the rendang, a flavorful and spicy beef stew made with lemongrass and coconut milk. I had the choice of rice or roti prata and opted for the latter, which I highly recommend! The prata was a unique blend of a Chinese scallion pancake and an Indian paratha, and paired perfectly with the rendang, creating a delicious Indonesian taco-like dish. My sister tried their version of the Cincinnati Four Way, which featured thin egg noodles, rendang, cheese, and green onion. It was also delicious (and a definite upgrade from Skyline Chili). I was too full for dessert, but I am tempted to try it next time for sure!
This restaurant is amazing and truly authentic! I always love getting the chance to eat here when I'm in town.
