The food was delicious (we had empanadas, veggie paella, steak, plantains). Kid friendly, very reasonably priced, casual. If we lived here this would be our regular spot.
I spotted this restaurant while picking up my contact lenses from the optometrist, and I'm absolutely in love with it! The paella is incredibly rich and is served with several small plantains. I highly recommend it if you find yourself in the downtown area.
Incredible Carne Asada, done perfectly. The food was fantastic here, I would highly recommend.
The rib was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked, and all the sauces were delicious. When I drizzled chimichurri over the ribs, it elevated the dish even further. The churros were wonderfully crispy and crunchy on the outside while still being moist in the center. They were simply coated in sugar, with no cinnamon, but I enjoyed them just the same. They reminded me of churros I've had in Tijuana, Mexico. The shredded pork was a tad salty on its own, but when mixed with the rice, beans, and sauces, it balanced out nicely and tasted great. The fried plantains were a fantastic addition to the dish; I usually dislike bananas, but I absolutely love fried plantains. The "Ready to Go" version of the paella ($3) was decent, but I wish it could be a bit more seasonal in taste. I highly recommend adding the chimichurri sauce on top. It seems that some restaurants I've visited have either under-seasoned or over-seasoned their a la carte paella, Spanish rice, or Mexican rice—perhaps that’s what affected my experience. I’ve included photos for reference, including a standard takeout fork and food service glove to give an idea of the portion sizes, and rulers next to the churros for comparison. I’m from Los Angeles, where the Hispanic food is unbeatable (if you know, you know), but this place will definitely be added to my list of favorites in Columbus.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable, with generous portion sizes! My wife ordered the full paella, and I had the milanesa grande; both dishes were excellent. The interior was beautiful and picturesque, and the restrooms were clean as well. It's a great spot for a budget-friendly date. You do have to return your own table after eating, but it's a minor inconvenience. The staff was also very friendly. I would definitely visit again for a date or a casual outing. I encourage all of you readers to give it a try too. Just a heads-up: parking isn't the best since it's all paid, but that's just the way it is in the city.
