Brioso Roastery Coffee - Columbus

Brioso on Long is practically a daily necessity for me. I’m so lucky to live and work in this neighborhood! Their batch drip coffee is rich and well-balanced, while the pour-overs offer a delightful natural sweetness and fruity notes if you can spare a couple of minutes. Their espresso is among my favorites, featuring balanced acidity with both bright and nutty flavors. The coffee beans are also fantastic for brewing at home; I recently savored an amazing Black Diamond Natural Costa Rican coffee. Whether you're grabbing a quick drip coffee, a cappuccino or cortado, a pour-over, or even a chai or matcha drink, you can’t go wrong at Brioso.

I tried the cold brew coffee and it was honestly terrible. I couldn't find any options for add-ins like creamer or syrups on the menu, and it was just unpleasant on its own. Even after adding creamer from home and trying to make it better, it still didn't taste good. It’s worth noting that some people can’t drink hot or warm beverages due to health reasons, so I hope they will consider adding more iced options in the future. On a positive note, the barista was very friendly, and the interior of the restaurant was nice and clean.

The coffee is great, and the service is friendly, but I have to say, they're closed more often than they're open. What kind of coffee shop in a downtown location shuts its doors at 2 PM and doesn’t even open on Sundays? It’s puzzling—don’t they want to make money?

This is a recent find for me as I work downtown and finding a good coffee shop in walkable distance is hard to come by. Although the coffee is great, unfortunately, the service I recently received was less than ideal. Both employees upfront were extremely dry had a very dismissive tone. We arrived around 1:30 pm with an understanding they closed at 2 PM, however, any question we had was met with a dismissive tone and felt bothersome. Such a shame because I truly enjoy the coffee. Dietary restrictions: Not sure exactly, but seems like it could have some dairy free options.
