So having less impressive food was expected; it was still good. Two weeks ago we visited and half the menu was out of stock. Which, we attributed to maybe a holiday weekend , newer establishment etc. then tonight I ordered a salad with vinaigrette and salmon. The dressing was watery and tasteless and the salmon was salty and over cooked. The pizza, which usually is always great was , okay. Could be a one off but we do miss the pizza at the taproom. From now on will probably bypass the beer hall and only visit the taproom. Hopefully their quality remains consistent.
This place was great before they opened up the east location. Since then it's completely gone downhill.Getting rid of the pizza was a huge mistake! Then you add a few sandwiches for $17-18...for a sandwich..lolOnly a few good staff members remain, and still no dogs allowed.Lots of other places to go!!This place won't last the way its going.
Neat location with a great food truck. Small outside patio and the indoors is cool with a great vibe. 2/3 of the wait staff were great and the third one seemed to warm up to us as the evening wore on. The best part tho? .1, .2, .4 and larger pours. You can try everything. Also, there isn't a better brewery this side of the Mississippi so far as I know. This is up there with my other favorites like Combustion and Endeavor.
Arrived on Sunday afternoon with my family of three. 6 open tables between inside and outside. When I asked for a table I was advised to “wait a minute while they clear some more tables”. I watched one employee run around and clear tables while at least 6 other employees (assuming servers) stood in front of the kitchen talking and laughing while looking at their phones. After waiting almost 20 minutes we eventually left. Same hostess still hustling to clear tables while everyone stood around watching. There were 9 open tables when we finally left because of the long wait for a table.
I am currently in Grandview at Dewey's writing this review because I learned just now that CBC tap room is no longer serving the delicious pizza that was the cornerstone of their food offerings. Seriously, we couldn't have been more shocked to learn they would screw up their menu so badly, it was the best thing they had. So, here I am at Dewey's having a consolation pizza, also very good pizza, but not at all the same. The pizza at CBC was amazing, we would get 2, one pepperoni and one cacio y pepe even though it was pretty expensive, becauseit was thick and crispy and a very unique style. Now that there isn't delicious pizza I won't be going here for $10 fries and a $10 pint. For me the big draw for this place is gone, there are a lot of tap rooms around town but there were none with that amazing pizza. I'd rather go to Sideswipe and take my chances on the food truck of the night.
