The live music was so loud my party could barely hear each other talking. It was 8:00 on a Saturday night. When we told the manager that the music was too loud, he told us, “This is a lively restaurant”. I looked around at the over 50 crowd and thought- nope! We won't go back!
Service was superb. Brendan, our waiter, should be an instructor in the hospitality industry. To everyone else, if you make an effort, customers will order more give you a bigger tip. I probably would've ordered at least $100 less food drink, if Brendan was like many of the apathetic staff I've run into lately in the ‘service' industry. We also were approached by different managers or owners who made everything special for our birthday celebrations. The food was top notch. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, apps drinks. The rainbow cake special was par excellence. Overall, a great first visit. I'll go back to celebrate other occasions.
I went there with another couple last Friday. We ordered a round of drinks and when mine came, which is Crown Royal on the rocks, I took a sip a knew right away it was not CR. I have been drinking this for 40-something years. My friend tasted it also and agreed with me. I called the waiter over whole brought the drink back to the bar. The maitre d then came over with the bottle and an empty glass. He proceeded to tell me he saw the bartender pour it and was in fact CR. He poured me a little from the bottle he brought over, I tasted that and it was CR. I then asked him if he could make me another drink at which point he pushed the first drink in front of me stating that was the drink HE made me the first time. At that point, the 4 of us stood up and left. I did not cause a scene and did not want to ruin anyone's else dinner. Ok, I'm 68 and have never written a bad review even when dinners were not good, but this was positively awful! Lost a $300-$400 dinner sale for a couple of bucks of booze.
Overall great experience-We had Excellent, friendly service, great atmosphere (ate outside), and delicious food. The waiter was very accommodating to food allergies and sensitivities. After the sun went down it got a little colder our waiter offered a heater and set it up right by our table which was very nice it made it more comfortable.
Beautiful outdoor location with music and attentive staff but food is only ok. Wife had swordfish which was tasteless and I had NY Strip with fries. Strip was outback quality but priced higher. Wife complained to manager about the swordfish and he said he would tell the chef but didnt offer any compensation to return.
