All of the staff we encountered were well trained and truly wanted us to have the best time. What a concept post-Covid. The menu offers an abundance of delicious sounding items. We absolutely loved their prosciutto, it deserves a shout out. The sauce in the lobster pappardelle was incredible, the whole dish A+. My husband had the veal chop, and it was grilled and finished perfectly medium rare with herbs and garlic on top that I couldn’t help picking at. We ate too much bread and breadsticks probably but couldn’t help it because they were worth eating with the olive oil. I was insistent on trying their tiramisu even though I was full, it was a B. Something about it wasn’t decadent enough. We can’t wait to eat here again on another trip to the area.
We were seated by the window with a nice view of the lake. Luckily there was water and bread already at the table when we sat down because the service was very slow. After 15 minutes a woman who I assume was a manager finally came to our table. I don’t think she was trying to take our drink order, but my wife ordered drinks from her anyway. After another 5 minutes our waiter appeared to confirm the drinks we wanted. Then it took close to 10 more minutes to finally get the drinks and we placed our orders. Our meals took more than 30 minutes to arrive, but were tasty. I stopped looking at my watch, but it took forever to get the check and then it took forever for the waiter to take our payment. Also, our dirty plates were never cleared from the table. There is a 20% service fee already added to the bill, so the waiter was lucky in that regard since we would have never tipped that much for bad service. Overall our experience was rather disappointing.
The sun was just coming up. We walked from our room across the bridge and stumbled upon this place. The food was good, the service wonderful, but it was the ambience and the view that will have us returning when we stay at the Broadmoor. A wonderful spot.
Best in Comorado Springs. Well worth the price. Shout outs go to Tristan out personal food liaison and Elelore of the concierge desk for a stand up performance as well as the staff tonight thank you all....
The food and service were everything we expected, amazing! I had the lasagna and my wife had the special. The lasagna was baked perfectly and the meatballs inside were perfect. We also had a board that was very good, and my Manhattan from the bar was perfect. Please note the Broadmoor adds a 20% service fee to all checks; this is not a tip. They also add a PIF (public improvement fee). Contrary to popular belief PIF 's are not mandated by the government, the Broadmoor is adding both of these fees.
