We ordered 3 entrees, a dozen alfahores, and a can of soda. We were missing rice, the papa rella was.. OK, the aji de gallina was the worst I 've ever had, but the alfahores were probably the best I 've ever had. Besides the the majority of the food being mediocre at best, the bill came out to 68.00, not worth the quality or the amount of food we got (small portions). We still left a $13 tip. After doing the math something was wrong. We had been overcharged. When we contacted Rosario 's, they explained for to go orders, they are charging customers 10% extra for the to go containers! No one told us prior to running our card the owner said they 're reusable . We had a styraphome box and two plastic containers so each reusable container was $3 and some change. I 've worked in restaurants all my life. They buy these containers wholesale so they don 't pay that much per container. Please do the math and ask about the 10% additional charge because they won 't tell you. We used to come here all the time but between the decline of food quality and the fact they aren 't disclosing the outragous 10% extra we will not be back. Please don 't offer a coupon off your website, we are done with Rosario 's. You need to be honest with your customers and stop charging people extra without telling them. This is what we get for trying to support you.
I am from San Antonio and I have had the hardest time finding a legit place and I have to say this place is the best in the springs. This place is an absolute must if you are looking for Mexican food.
So glad to finally find a place that does pretty good Mexican food not just Tex-Mex. I had the quesadilla with rice and beans and the cheese was actually white traditional cheese not cheddar that most places use now in days. The tortilla was soft and delicious and the beans didn't have as much comino that most resturants around town put in their beans. They had a good variety of Mexican beverages from jarritos to home made horrchata y jamaica. Husband had a burrito with barbacoa and he loved it. It was HUGE! It had meat, rice, beans, guacamole, and crema. Definitely coming back soon next time for some more.
The places is very hard to find first of all. The location is not the best and the outside may want to turn you away. The food however is very good. I believe it was seasoned well but a little too much salt but not enough to make you stop eating it. It is very small on the inside but is cozy. The people who took care of me I believe they were the owners and very friendly. They do talk Spanish for anyone who might struggle with english. I will be back for more to try different menu items.
Bout to get that street taco with the Mrs. Yummers !!!!!!!
