Slim Chickens

The portion sizes were a bit on the small side. I ordered the 5 and 5, but it felt more like 3 and 5. That said, the sauces were delicious, and I also enjoyed the fries and toast.

The food was tasty, but the cleanliness of the restaurant was disappointing. There were bits of trash, like fries and straw wrappers, scattered on the floor that looked like they hadn't been cleaned up. We had to wipe down our own table, and they were out of several items, such as teas, spoons, and cup lids. I might consider coming back eventually, but not in the near future.

I truly love eating at this restaurant. The fried okra is amazing! I also find it amusing that the "O" on the side of the building is upside down, which is what prompted me to write this review. It's definitely not a bad thing; it's just really funny!

This is a fantastic spot for chicken fingers and sandwiches! The atmosphere is spacious, and the service is exceptional. My food came out quickly, and I really enjoyed the chicken tenders along with the variety of sauces offered. Although the combo deals may be slightly pricier than those at Raising Cane's, I actually preferred Slim's Chicken over Raising Cane's.

I recently gave Slim Chickens on Austin Bluffs a 5-star rating, but I have to lower it to 4 stars this time because of some freshness issues. The fries were nearly inedible and had a stale taste, while the chicken strips—though they were decent—had a slightly aged flavor. Everything else was great, and I understand that food isn’t always made fresh, but it felt like it had been left out for a while. Despite this, I still recommend giving it a try, especially the sweet and spicy sauce! A special shoutout to Joy for her excellent service!
