When you go to a place called a BBQ Pit you have a certain expectation of meaty delicious food. Here I am sad to say it was more akin to slightly warmed fat with little strings of meat sort of there but hard to find. I have to say the side orders were almost edible Mac cheese was almost a solid lump and the fried Okra was just burned beyond recognition. On the plus side they did have good soda to wash away the taste. Staff were ok, no welcome and basic order without a smile anywhere behind the counter. Perhaps it was an off day, but it was the day I chose to spend my money, and was left wanting more.
Did not get exactly what I ordered! No Asiago Cheese Creamed Spinach, Mac n Cheese and no Kielasa sausage. Instead I got 2 coleslaws and 2 mashed potatoes which I didn't order. I called and no one picked up. Unsatisfactory, 2 thumbs down ????????
Don't waste your money or time go somewhere else only good thing is they accept ebt I will never return
I was excited to try the new owners food. Unfortunately no greens when I came. The mac was NOT good, it was gritty and curdled. The beans were dried around the edges like they had been microwaved and they were so thick. Them my mom came in a few days later and ordered catfish that was fried so HARD it was inedible. I mean it was hard as a rock. 18 bucks for 1 piece of hard fish. SMH. The ribs were good, hence the 2 stars.
Having to best time with great people, best barbecue experience Dickeys Barbecue Pit in Compton food was exceptional. Thank you 5 Stars.!
