Food wasn't that great and tasted old. Was recommended the crab cake and expected something fried, crispy and hot but was served a soggy crab cake that tasted like it was previously frozen. Carpaccio tastes like it was preciously cut, plated and left in the fridge for a couple days. Kinda disappointing since the restaurant is located in a nice hotel. Overall experience was subpar and probably won't be going back.
Took my wife out tonight hoping to get good quality meal... I had the $30 chicken and she had the $40 fillet mignon both were smothered in some teriyaki/wine sauce... We could not even finish the meal, I'm now picking up a quick bite to eat on my way home... Very unsatisfied with the food! Service was good although nobody was concerned with taking away our plates still full of food.
Saturday night date night with the guy, I was happy to finally try this place out because I drive by it all the time and it's about five minutes from the house. I opted for the red wine flightwhich was tasty, the number three wine (the name slips my mind) was my favorite. The guy ordered sidecars which weren't bad either. We split a burger which they so graciously cut in half and gave us our own plates however, we asked for well done and it wasn't, Oh well I won't hold that against them and I'll be willing to go back to check out the happy hour! I've been enjoying Plate and Vine for quite a few years. It is a comfortable, clean and modern dining room. The bar is roomy. And you get free parking validated inside. The service is excellent! Most of my experience here is with the Happy Hour. They extend happy hour to 7PM! And their menu is substantial. I just posted a photo of a more recent one, since it has changed a little. Favorites are the burger, pizzas, caesar salad, and mac'n cheese. The plate of warm olives is quite a bargain! I've never ordered any of their dinners, so I can't comment on that. This is NOT a sports bar, so don't be surprised if their 1 TV is off, or not showing your preferred program. Go for happy hour and you won't be disappointed.
Was too tired our second night to go out to dinner so decided to brave the hotel restaurant for sustenance and convenience. Had low expectations but was impressed enough with the food and service to come back the next night as well. The heirloom tomato salad was one of the best I've enjoyed anywhere. We shared a Mediterranean appetizer plate which was really terrific. The sausage and pepperoni pizza was small but very tasty. The focaccia bread and spiced olive oil was the best we've had anywhere. We finished with the chocolate cake and gelato and biscotti. The deserts were outstanding. The next night we had the salmon and risotto and both were very good. We finished with the cherry galette and tiramisu. The galette was outstanding and the tiramisu good, but not great. Very impressed with the food and the service.
