R&r Bbq - Concord

I recently visited R&R BBQ in Concord, NC, and had a mixed experience. Here’s a breakdown of what I tried: Pulled Pork: Moist and lightly smoked, the pulled pork was very good, especially with the hot vinegar sauce. However, it could have used a bit more smoke to enhance the flavor. Ribs: Unfortunately, the ribs were overcooked and didn’t hold to the bones as well as they should have. They were decent but nothing special. Baked Beans: These were awesome! Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Fried Okra: Very good, crispy, and well-seasoned. Hush Puppies: Good, but not outstanding. Overall, I’d give R&R BBQ a solid 4 stars. The pulled pork and baked beans were the highlights, while the ribs left something to be desired.

We have visited several times and had good food, but this time not so much. The BBQ was a little bland and dry. The veggie were very good. So I just attributed it to a bad day. We will try again before we mark it off our list.

This was my first time eating here and I was completely blown away! I had chicken and ribs with baked beans, hush puppies, and onion rings. Everything was outstanding and the food that I was served looked exactly like the food pictured on their website. The only thing that was possibly more enjoyable than the food was the friendly and delightful staff. If you’re ever in Concord, NC, this place is definitely a must try. The food was good to very good. Had a BBQ plate with Cole slaw(white) and pinto beans. Also had a side of mashed potatoes with brown gravy. All were good other than the pintos. They had a weird flavor. They just weren't very good. I had 3 or 4 bites, and that was enough. I was with 2 of my daughters and 2 grandchildren (14 mo old and 4 yo). They enjoyed their veggie plates. There was a problem. We ordered our food at approximately 6 pm. We did not get our food until after 6:45. It's tough to deal with when you have 2 very young children in tow. Based on what happened, I believe the server forgot to put our order in. We saw at least 2 tables that came in after us that received their order before us. There was no offer to comp some of our bill, nor did I ask for such. I should have. The food was good but this experience soured me a bit. If we had better service I would definitely have given a better rating.

Ordered family BBQ deal to go. Comes with BBQ, hamburger buns, slaw, and BBQ sauce. Good deal.
