Mary is so welcoming and extremely friendly, the ultimate hostess and it is a lovely place to go. Food good especially the cakes and scones. Handy for the shop side also.
We arrived in Confolens and on Friday went to the Irish belle to try out their tasty lunch ,Mary is the host a young Irish lady whoRuns the Irish belle single handed ,we sat in a lovely cool cafe ( the heat was unbelievable outside 31) not what we use to weatherise in Ireland ,we ordered various things toasted sandwiches, crumpets with bacon and eggs ,all day breakfast with fresh tea and coffee all round , Mart topped up our tea and cleared table when finished we opted toGo the whole hog and ordered cake from the wide array of fresh baked cakes , scones ,and buns allMade by Mary we had carrot cake ,fresh fruit loaf ,and another had scone with fresh jam and cream ,the cafe is beautifulWith outstanding array of products that can be bought everything from ,biscuits ,bacon sausages sauces ,teabags etc all shipped in for her customers ,I cannot say enough for this beautiful place tucked away in This beautiful town ,great value for money also something for everyone here at the Irish belle .
I have eaten quite a number of times at "The Irish Belle". The food is nice, the service is good and the tea rooms are absolutely immaculately clean. The atmosphere is fantastic and I always leave Mary's very content. I would recommend "The Irish Belle" to everyone. They have a really good choice of English groceries as well.
While on a holiday enjoying all France had to offer, myself and my partnerand a good friend visited the Irish Belle tea rooms in confolens last week for a bite to eat while sightseeing around that particular area,we were greeted with a warm welcome from the Irish Lady who ran the place which itself was a warm cosy and friendly atmosphere, My partner and his friend ordered a full irish breakfast and i ordered home baked apple pie and fresh cream we also got three cans of coke for afters, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our food and found it to be very filling and reasonably priced at only 25euros, could not have been made feel more welcome or at home and could not fault the food, will definitely visit the Irish Belle again while on holiday from Ireland :) A taste of home and well reccomended, Enda and Anita.
