Sweet Taters - Conover

We’re thrilled to share that one of our favorite restaurants in Hickory, which had closed down, has now reopened at a new location! We just visited their new spot for the first time, and it certainly won't be our last. I enjoyed a fantastic BBQ sandwich stacked high with mac and cheese, while my wife had an enormous loaded baked potato and a fruit salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! Plus, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

We are always pleased when we visit this restaurant! The southern cuisine is fantastic, and the service is incredibly fast—sometimes almost too quick, to be honest! The chocolate pie is absolutely amazing whenever they have it. Just make sure to check the menu before you go, as it changes daily.

The food was absolutely amazing—served quickly and piping hot. This was our first time visiting, and we couldn’t believe we had missed out on this gem of a restaurant. The interior was clean and elegantly designed with a southern flair. If you appreciate Fleetwood Covington's art, this is definitely the place for you! The service was impeccable; our server was attentive and answered all of our questions. We relished every aspect of our delightful southern meal, and I must say, the prices were surprisingly reasonable—a true rarity these days. Everything was perfect—great food served fast, friendly service, and excellent pricing. And I haven’t even mentioned the delightful biscuits or desserts! Go and experience this local treasure for yourself!

Have eaten here before. The food is excellent. Waitstaff is friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic. I will return here again when I can. I had the sour cherry ham. The muscadine jelly is absolutely wonderful.Food: 5/5

Very clean inside and in the restroom. Friendly staff! Well light. Interesting items on walls to look at. Food tastes terrific ?, and special flavored lemonade s are great ?!! I recommend this establishment especially if looking for some different fare and flavor s to eat! I'll visit again!Vegetarian options: I saw some on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Looks to be kid friendly.Parking: They offer order ahead and they will bring it out to your car!
