I wish they had alcohol, I had a lychee martini all day long. but nothing that a cold sapporo could not repair.
We went here eat for the 1st time on a Thursday around 5pm. It wasn't busy at all. We chose regular seating vs Habachi. I feel like their menu was scase compared to other places like it. But the food was good. Our waiter was a man of very very few words.
I got take out and im giving 3 stars because the unagi was great and the soup was okay. but the fried rice lacked any real flavor that wouldve been better made on the grill and the tempura they gave me is inedible in my opinion, it is VERY cheaply made and the smell of the fry oil is overpowering and the fry batter is gross as all heck. the only saving grace was the unagi with the vegetables. sucks an entire box of food that comes with the unagi is getting thrown in the trash because its disgusting. if you get the unagi tell them. just the unagi NO tempura might save you a few bucks so you arent buying trash.
Usually this place is pretty good. Tonight on the other hand we've been seated at our table for an hour and a half waiting for a chef to come to the hibachi table. The reason we're waiting this long in because they are short staffed....which is understandable....but our chef was due to finally start cooking but the manager turned him away to do the hibachi table next to us because the customers complained that it was taking too long. The chef was actually standing at our table ready to begin the show and cook for us but was told to leave and take care of another table. We had two kids with is who were utterly disappointed and confused. Those people were here after we were but they went full Karen and got their way. We are understanding of the situation but disappointed in the way it was handled. So if you do decide to dine here, remember to cry to the manager and you'll probably get your way. Ask for discounts and preferential treatment because she is all about giving in to any and all confrontation.. The manager's name is Tina. On the other hand the staff is excellent and the food is outstanding. The only real problem is Tina, the manager....who is a liar.
Came here for a birthday dinner for the hibachi experience. Called and made a reservation and told them we were celebrating a birthday and if they do anything special and the lady on the phone said yes of course they do multiple things to celebrate for birthdays there. I said oh great, even if it’s just singing happy birthday to my son. We got to the restaurant and our hibachi chef didn’t really say anything to us except to finalize that each of us ordered steak or chicken. Finally my husband says hey sir how are you doing today? He replied and said I’m good thank you and that was it. I said we are celebrating my sons birthday today and he said happy birthday and that was the end of that. No birthday song or anything special. Major disappointment.
