I was staying at the hotel & had booked a table.We were shown to our table without even the offer of the drinks menu. About 10 minutes later I had to ask for a menu. After selecting our wine & food, once again the waiter had to be hailed.We both ordered items from the grill, which were excellent. As were the desserts.There were two large family groups dining too, the wait staff seemed to focus on them.No doubt, like us, they had booked. Clearly booking management had failed & the staff were not coping. There were no apologies.
Absolutely disgusted with the whole experience.My sister had booked a high tea for for my birthday, was told that blue salt needed 24 hours confirmation as they needed to order in macaroons ect for the high tea. Called once in the morning on the friday gave the receptionist our number as she needed to call us back, we called back around 2 as we hadn't received a call back spoke to them on four occasions during the friday about confirmation.Get there the saturday and we werent booked in at all. Got taken to the bar area and had to ask to sit in a better position. It took 20 minutes for someone to even confirm that we were having the high tea experience. Got given our sparkling, and left over whatever was around food wise, scones were dry and stale. No macaroons or anything that had to be ordered in then after this absolutely NO service.We had to ask for tea at our high tea, waited another 20mins and the waitress then started clearing the other 2 tables that were in there. It was DEAD. Finally brought our tea over and just said oh sorry i forgot, she was very unapologetic about completely forgetting us.The only person who was apologetic was the waitress we had finalising our bill.Will never return and would 100% not recommended it too anyone.
This restaurant overlooks Coogee Beach and the view was just lovely. The seafood platter was hugs - too much for two people. It had everything you would expect except for octopus and it was all sensational & fresh and tasty! The staff were also pleasant and prompt
We were given a Red Balloon voucher and chose the seafood platter for two at Bluesalt restaurant. The platter was very good and should have been advertised as being for three. We took home some of the seafood home for dinner. The service was great. We will definitely be returning with friends.As a side note check to see if the air conditioner is working on the enclosed balcony area as it does get very hot. The view in the restaurant area is just as good and much cooler.Parking is available on the street but most of it is 1 hour. There is parking in the hotel which we were told is free. Next time we will park there so we can spend more time in the restaurant
