The Vessel - Cooks Beach

One of the best aspects of summer at Cook's Beach is the fantastic food selection. They offer a great variety of dishes, along with a solid choice of beers and gins, including some local brews on tap. It can get quite busy during the peak season, but the staff handle it well. If the place is really bustling, you might experience a longer wait for your food, but the quality makes it worth it. The snacks are incredible, and the main courses are even better. While they don’t offer split billing, you can open multiple tabs under different names, which makes settling the bill easier. I would love to see a larger selection from local breweries—Hot Water Brewing is just down the road, and Blue Fridge is nearby, too. Overall, you'd be missing out if you didn't stop by the Vessel. Support local businesses!

I had a wonderful meal this evening. The lamb curry was delicious and priced at $25, which included a glass of house wine. My companion ordered the fish and chips, which were also tasty and came in very generous portions. We enjoyed a lovely Aix en Provence Rosé as well.

I visited this restaurant for lunch for the first time, and my overall impression was very positive. The layout is well-designed, with plenty of tables and shade. They have a fantastic selection of wine and beer, including some excellent craft beers on tap. The meals are also enjoyable, featuring good options that utilize local seafood and produce. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Had a beautiful plate of ribs, the Tuna tataki was exceptional, lovely pizza style cheesey garlic bread and a couple of cold Coronas. What's not to love?! Great Coro/bach-y vibe, definitely go again.

Very nice suprise. It seems like a pub at first (sports on tv and a bit noisy), but the food is actually very good. We took the salmon and the steak, it was delicious. Would recommend for a drink but also if you want a good meal at decent price (around 35 nzd for a main course).
