Aromas on Darby - COOKS HILL

Before heading to The Depot for Sunday breakfast, my family and I did some research. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our experience far surpassed our expectations. Our waiter, Julia, was fantastic - she had our daughters entertained and busy with coloring in no time after we sat down. The food and drinks were also excellent, matching the quality of the service. I would highly recommend The Depot to anyone in search of a delicious breakfast in a bustling setting with friendly staff.

My family and I, visiting from Canberra, stopped in for breakfast at this restaurant. We started with some perfect coffee. My son loved the fluffy ricotta pancakes, and my daughter enjoyed the tasty breakfast bruschetta. My mum shared a big breakfast with a friend because the portions were so large. The highlight for us was the Nutella Freak Shake, with a warm and delicious Nutella donut on top. Even though we ordered the regular size, we couldn't finish it! The food came quickly and the staff were friendly and efficient. They were also accommodating in allowing us to split the bill. The atmosphere was great, and we definitely plan on returning next time we're in Newcastle. Highly recommended!

I believe the Depot is a wonderful restaurant. I should think so, given that I have spent over $10,000 there since it opened. It's nice to feel appreciated by the thoughtful gestures they offer. I often have foreign visitors and business associates, and it's reassuring to see that the staff seem carefully selected to remain neutral on various issues, unlike some other places. I appreciate how the staff quickly grab their meals and move to a discrete location when customers arrive, ensuring that it doesn't feel like we are eating in their break room. I must mention how pleased I am to see the attention given to a lonely old man by the staff, especially the young female employees. The level of care is commendable. The Depot is a top-notch place. Furthermore, I can't help but mention how easy-going Milly is. I could see her excelling in a diplomatic role with her relaxed demeanor and ability to handle situations without hesitation.

Served by Rory, at Darby last night. Good guy. We had some good fun and tasty food. Atmosphere was relaxed and casual and service was quick and polite. I had the steak which was really nice except the beans were the only thing that didn't really wow me/fit on the plate. My wife had chicken supreme which she said everything was nice except the Pommes Anna/gratin potato style thing? Anyway service made up for tiny things and we had a great night

It is the best coffee in Newcastle. This place my Friday ritual, the staff are amazing.
