The portions here are enormous! Seriously, you'll want to skip breakfast and lunch if you plan on having dinner at this place. The food is outstanding. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, which was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The potato salad with lemon dressing complemented it beautifully, adding a delightful zesty flavor. The pretzel stick served with a savory salty spread was fantastic as well. I also tried the pork steak with bacon, and it was equally delicious. They have an impressive selection of beers, too. The ambiance is lovely, with the option to sit indoors or on the outdoor terrace right under the grapevines. We even picked a few ripe grapes for a nice sweet treat afterward. I highly recommend visiting this place!

This restaurant offers an authentic German experience, complete with generous portions and a lively atmosphere. The selection of beer and food is impressive. The schnitzels are large, the pork knuckle is tender, and the Hungarian beef goulash is delightful. We also enjoyed the Austrian lemonade, which was a great addition. The prices are reasonable, and the serving sizes are quite generous. The ambiance was relatively calm, and the staff were friendly. Although there were a few challenges in serving our large group, they handled it well. Bernhard, who was both cooking and taking our orders, contributed to the relaxed vibe of the place, making it a wonderful spot to enjoy a hearty meal. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take my leftovers home.

This restaurant offers an authentic experience with great food at reasonable prices. They have a delicious selection of mustards and an excellent beer variety. It was a little quiet when we visited, but the patio out back was perfect. I would definitely recommend it, especially for groups.

Best German food I've ever had, and to top it all off even the gluten free options taste fantastic, the chef had no problems accommodating our dietary requirements.

Very tasty food at very reasonable price. If you want to try authentic Austrian German food , this might be your best bet in Australia (as a German, I tried most in all states and had been mostly disappointed, but not at Doppelgänger! The beer, of course, is delicious too and is served in proper sizes.
