Mexicola Cantina - Coolum Beach

My friend and I love Mexican food. This would have to be the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in Australia. We had the Fajitas and the serving size was massive and we couldn't get through it all. The beef was melt in the mount and so was the chicken. The waitress was also lovely and helpful and very friendly. We also had a jug of frozen margarita and wow that was great as well. My recommendation is that you put this as a must do next time in Coolum.

Authentic, laid back restaurant with really good food with very pleasant well mannered staff in attendance.

I do miss good Mexican but it is so hard to find in Australia.This is a reasonable "cantina" lots of people, boisterous but more Tex Mex than the style of Mexican found overseas. Enjoyable if you are happy with tacos and standard fare.

We had such a fantastic Australia Day on our holiday in Coolum. I mean if you haven't had a holiday in Coolum you're missing out. Any how what to do about dinner. After a mandatory siesta I found the husband delighting in the Mexican presidents decision to deny Trump oxygen. There was only one thing to do. It being Australia Day the only appropriate thing to do was find a Mexican restaurant. And after a couple of sundowners we ventured in. I'm not a big fan of mexican restaurants. We were set for diss appointment . Not so here. We ordered a platter of fajitas- and that's what we got. A fab playful platter of all things we understand to be Mexican staples. A locally made hot sauce got his highness sweating but both of us agreed on that small unification as being symbolic of the importance to resist. My prior experience with mexican restaurants has been Trumped by this one.

We were in Coolum for the weekend and tried this restaurant on Saturday night. I ordered the tacos which were very fresh and tasty. Good service with a lovely atmosphere, I would definitely eat here again.
