The food was delicious and a good value for what food cost nowadays. Your servers, bussers and hostess are so happy and miss Gerri,Benjamin,Amber and Ann Mu were our servers however other servers would also stop by to see if we needed anything they worked as a team. The text system was nice we didn't have to use the land line to call front desk services. There's not enough space to fill ya in on this fantastic place in our own state. Will be back summer 2024. THANK YOU
Stayed one night. Very welcoming reception team. Beautiful cabin room, the Rod Reel bar and grill was very nice and staff provides excellent service. Food was very good. A walk down a slightly steep hill will get you to the river and some beautiful views. The cabins we were in had a porch facing nice grassy area and forest behind it. We were in Soldatna fishing for a few days and stayed here one night before heading back to Anchorage. This is close to a lot of fishing spots. Overall it was quiet, relaxing, and comfortable.
Didn't stay at the resort but we have grandchildren that work for the resort. Great location in one of my favorite locations in North America...Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. This trip we had dinner at the resort after a hike to Russian River Falls to watch Sockeye Salmon negotiate a spectacular set of falls. Restaurant was very good and the service was first rate. I highly recommend the pan seared Alaskan halibut with wild berry cobbler served warm with huckleberry ice cream.
I'm writing a review of the restaurant. We selected this place as a nice stop for lunch. I selected the fish and chips. It was some of the worst fish and chips I ever had. I broke a chunk off a tooth on my first bite. it was fried so hard over a tough piece of fish that was only 1/8 thick. We were with our daughter who suggested this place, so I didn't want to make a big deal of it, but it really was bad.
Rooms were a bit outdated, but otherwise comfortable for our family of 4 with two young children. The dined twice at their onsite restaurant Rod Reel and enjoyed the food and beautiful outdoor scenic overlook from the deck. We enjoyed our first Alaskan Vacation staying at Kenai Princess Lodge. Would highly recommend!
