I visited Cross's Cafe for the first time in many years and was impressed. Low prices, friendly service and a very clean environment were big selling points to me. Also the cafe is very spacious inside. so you won't struggle to find a table. 5.30 for a large cappucino and cheese on toast is very reasonable these days and the cappucino was beautiful. Next time I should try one of their paninis, which a customer rated very highly, and at 4.80 won't break the bank.
What a fantastic place, my daughter (3 and I popped in today for some lunch, food and drinks were great but it was the friendly atmosphere staff and customers alike that will definitely see us returning. My little girl loved it. (Apple pie and custard was easily a 10/10!
Devine- the ham was toothsome and the bread was a working class portrait of joy. The tea was hot and was served in a hipster cup and plate which took my eyes from Whitehaven to a woke tea shop in London- would certainly recommend
I visited this coffee shop at lunchtime today. All social distancing rules were in place and everywhere very clean. Not busy so felt very safe. Staff were all lovely, polite and friendly. Best genuinely home made vegetable soup I've had in a cafe in a long, long time. Highly recommend.
