This small roadhouse is one of the few stops along the Denali Highway. As such, it could be terrible and still be busy. But it's not terrible, but...
New lodge with large rooms and magnificent views. Beautiful hiking trails. Beautiful public spaces. Great view. We liked it better than Fairbanks and Denali Princess Lodges. Service is the weak connection: long wait for food, they sold our spots on our confirmed paid excursion and finally decided that we have a refund. All employees are new and try so hope that the Glitches will be worked out before your visit.
The room was clean. The bed was OK. The reception was very friendly. The restaurant staff, not so much. They wear masks, but don't wear them right. Many restaurant staff had masks under the nose or so loose it remained below. Some restaurant staff even wore their mask on their chin in the dining room. Do not let them give you room 200 to 207. These rooms are over the kitchen. The staff plays loud music and buttons and dishes well past 11 o'clock. The public laundry noise above the hall was baptized every hour and the service elevator became every time he landed on the floor day or night. When we asked for another room, they said they were full. I'm not sure.
Great place to eat,Sat them closed early, love the Sunday breakfast buffet, but the Sausage Gravy and Tators as usual, but hopefully next year
