Austin Fish House - Coquitlam

As a 100% repeat customer, I was disappointed with the quality and price of the food at this restaurant. The cod tasted like it had been boiled in dirty, wet soil, and the potatoes were overcooked and had a strange texture - I even found what appeared to be a hair in them. The tartar sauce was unappetizing, and the coleslaw was not up to restaurant standards. Overall, this experience was a complete letdown. The store has since closed down, but I will be reaching out to demand a refund of my money.

I ordered the Halibut fish and chips and it's usually quite good, but this time it wasn't cooked properly - the fish was mushy and the batter was too thick. I called to complain, but they made excuses about the oil and didn't seem very concerned.

I believe the restaurant has undergone new ownership, and sadly the standard of their fish and chips has significantly declined. The cod lacked flavor and the batter was too fragile. The portion of fries was smaller, and the price has increased. This has been our go-to spot for fish and chips for years, but we will have to look elsewhere now. It's unfortunate that Coquitlam has lost another affordable, top-notch dining option.

That was the way to dinner. The last few Times IT went downhill. The dough was too thick and tasteless. the price went up and the quality went down. I think they're so busy not paying attention to quality.

I don't go to this Chippy too often but I do like their food. They have Pollock,Cod Halibut In 1,2,3 Piece Meals. The batter on this fish is tasty crunchy trust when I say one piece here might be equivalent to 2 PC's...at another chippy..yes just one of their portions of is BIG! They also have Family Packs if you have a lot of Guests/ Friends to feed There's also Prawns,Oysters,Scallops Clams available in Combos. They also other non fish Menu items like Cheeseburger,B.L.T. Chicken, Chicken Strips Nuggets. Plus other side dishes like Poutine,Onion Rings,Tartar Sauce,Gravy,Caesar salad
