Contribuisci feedbackNice presentation for food items, but the food quality not as good as the Google reviews mentioned.2 of us had tried...King roll a lot of yam fries top of 8 pieces of fishy prawn tempura sushi with pan seared mushy tuna pieces on top with spicy sauce. Their rolls are falling apart..Lobster roll hardly find lobster and scallops inside the roll, only 1 tiny piece of lobster meat inside the last piece,Mostly salmon sashimi with tobiko on top.. they used same sauce as king roll..Saba Nigiri sushi extremely fishy saba on loose riceBig eye tuna Nigiri sushi it's chewy tuna sashimi top onLoose rice..Prawn tempura worst tempura i ever have before,Their tempura batter are too hard and thick. No wonder just only 1 customer inside, beside us at lunch time on Saturday..It's small and cozy restaurantWith 5 tables.Service was fast and friendly. But won't go there again,Because made us have diarrhea,After an hour...Their plate is broken
This is not just a restaurant, this is a gate between Earth and Heaven where God himself (the chef) is there cooking for you. To say The food is amazing is almost an offence since there 's no words to describe how perfect it is. I punish myself everyday for all the past years that I didn 't know about this place. The Shrimp King is a vessel that brings love into your soul through your sense of taste and makes you restore faith in humanity. The price is also ridiculously low, specially considering that I wouldn 't hesitate to trade my kidney for a dish. Whenever you go there for the first time, make sure you bow to worship them and get on your knees to apologize for never being there before.
I think we've uncovered for ourselves the crème de la crème of Japanese nosh in Coquitlam. This joint takes taste and aesthetics to a whole new stratosphere of scrumptiousness.Everyday Japanese fare? Pshh, they toss that concept out the window and inject a signature flare, creating a delectable experience that has your taste buds singing like a nightingale. Beef udon morphs into a mouthwatering main event, while the humble Philadelphia roll gets a fabulous makeover, demanding your undivided attention. Oh, and the Gomae? It's a veritable masterpiece of plating perfection, drizzled with just the right amount of drool-worthy sauce. These culinary maestros have managed to revamp beloved classics without drowning out their soul, offering an innovative twist that's neither overpowering nor pretentious. It's no surprise that this eatery has effortlessly waltzed its way into our list of go-to gastronomic havens.
Complex was a little confusing to get to but no issues after finding it.Strange thing to comment on but I really liked the smell of torched fish as soon as I walked in. Not something I always notice but I don't usually enjoy the smell of sushi restaurants.Had the gomae, miso soup, chicken teriyaki roll, sockeye salmon roll and beef yakisoba. Really good quality food. I found the yakisoba to be a bit heavy on the sauce but good otherwise. Highly recommend the sockeye salmon roll and Miso soup.Server was very kind and attentive.
