It bounced hard and we wrote our names on a clipboard at the entrance. Our waiting wasn't too long... many people turned out. They offer a simple menu without choosing a huge list of items. We ordered Combo E for $137.90 plus an order of sweet and acid fried chicken. It is the best value that offers a sampling of this and that with delicious dishes and decent portions. I was impressed by their huge portions that were enough to feed over 4 people. There were enough leftovers for at least 3 more meals the following day. If you are looking for a beautiful ambience, you will not find it here. If you're looking for delicious food, that's it! The service was also great! There are many free parking spaces on the property. They're just across the street from White Spot.
Food is important to me, but I'll take care of the atmosphere in the restaurant. I had jjambbong and jjajangmyun with my wife. It was 12 o'clock, but we haven't waited so long. The waitress was friendly and polite enough to let us... quickly, but the table was for four people and we had to sit with other (foreign) customers. It was of course awkard. I and wife really can't talk our private stuff, so I felt ugly. It was full in the restaurant and more people were together right after breathing. The restaurant was unpleasant loud and loud, what I hate most when I eat. After 15mins my Jjambbng noodle soup came and I started eating and half of the part when I was close to ending my wife's Jjajangmyun yet did not come out. We had to ask our waitress what's going on and check them with the kitchen and the noodle came out immediately, strange. I was worried when that was long in the kitchen and they forgot to bring it out. The people sitting right next to us ordered them just like us and their food came out quickly and on time. They sat behind us, of course. I'm pretty sure they forgot the jjajangmyun on our order. My wife said her Jjajangmyun wasn't great, the sauce was funny, but my Jjambbong was okay. They put a lot of seafood and the soup was deep and rich. So my experience in this respector was not so great, I think we will not be back in the future.
My son has several Korean friends who introduced him to this very popular place. He made the double fried pork dish, Tang Su Yuk sounded so tempting that I asked him to take me. He didn't have all the details clear in his memory... but the server was very helpful and soon we had very large portions of Tang Su Yuk, and a jug of him 's beautiful hot and acidic sauce, as well as a large family serving Ja Jang, chewing noodles in black bean sauce with many silky onions. Together, it cost $40.00 and there was plenty left, which was great because both dishes are addicted.
There are fewer three good Korean restaurants in the area, I have always forgotten to try this out, to day have a good opportunity in the area, so, we went there for dinner along the day meeting, there is a lot of mall...parking, just 15 minutes to the Sky Train Stations, and also 15 minutes to the Lougheed Mall, restaurant is very bright and big I love to get back on board the black beans noodles!
We go there for many years and I have to say the food tastes the same all the time, which is rare! Huge portions for cheap, everything is absolutely delicious. Huge lineup all the time, long waits at rush hours, which really says it all....Highly recommended!
