The man who took our order was knowledgeable of the ingredients used and was able to indicate what I could eat based on my dietary restrictions. The croqueta preparda was delicious; I would definitely make the drive just for it as well as for the uncooked Serrano croquetas that we bought to fry at home. The pies, however, tasted whereas if they were a day or two old, and the crust did not have much flavor, nor was it flaky; it was more on the crumbling side as if it was undercooked. I ordered the lemon pie, the passion fruit, and the key lime pie.Nevertheless, I would be going back to try the rest of the menu as someone extremely allergic to gluten is a solid option, and I wish the business all the best so it prospers and grows to havemore locations.
Bought the $8 small Vegan banana bread loaf and it was rock hard and tasted terrible and old. Probably the worst Ive ever had sad to say.
Dora’s was at the top of our list for a gluten free burger on our trip to Miami. Although not actually close to Miami downtown, we made the 20 minute trip to come for a burger. The place is very small with limited seating. The photos online make it look huge. Most of the items for sale to take away are frozen. Which I get, as it’s tough to keep freshly baked gluten free items fresh. However it was disappointing that we couldn’t order quite a few of the fried items on their dine-in menu.We opted for burgers. Which we good for a gluten free burger. They were a normal burger size, which never happens in other gluten free restaurants. Normally the baked goods are half the normal size. The bread was the highlight of the burger. However not overly impressed with the burger meat patty. It seemed like a mass produced one that you can buy frozen. For the cost of the burger, compared to other places, it could’ve been a lot better.I would also have expected to see more baked goods fresh on display due to the name “bakery”. But I guess offering frozen to take home is a more cost effective method for a niche market.
A gluten-free bistro. I had a spicy chicken sandwich and onion rings- it was all date for me to eat because it is a dedicated gluten free facility. It is a small place with a few places to sit. Lots of bakery items besides the burgers and sandwiches- cookies, cakes, cupcakes, bread, rolls and pie(including key lime pie).Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten-free, they also have vegan options.
I was pleased to find a dedicated gluten-free restaurant during my trip to Miami. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich accompanied by onion rings. The sandwich had wonderful flavor, but the bread overshadowed the chicken. I ended up eating just the bottom half of it. I think it would have benefited from some lettuce and tomato or some other additions to enhance its appeal. The onion rings were delicious and generously breaded, although I removed half of the breading from each one. I also tried the pound cake almond brownie; the cake was a bit dry and crumbly, while the almond brownie was alright. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 and the service a 5. Dietary restrictions: This is a dedicated gluten-free restaurant.
