Lorenzo Pizza - Coral Gables

The staff is friendly, and the snack food is delicious, especially the empanadas. The pizzas and paninis are great too!

After eating, I noticed Lorenzo's adds an extra tax to your total bill for family disfunction. They do not inform you of it either.... Strange. Why not take the 1% tax from the total business sales each month. Or the 1% tax from the tips and paychecks of the employees.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful, however, I ordered a meatlovers pizza which is meat cheese and sauce and mine has onions and olives on it. I walked 20 min away to my hotel before realizing. If they all include olives and onions I wasn't aware of it. Tastes okay but I'm neither a fan of onions or olives so the experience is not as expected. Crust quality is good.

The service was decent for a pizza joint; my pizza came piping hot from the oven just a few minutes after I placed my order. The servers seemed happy and friendly. Manager Hennessy (or Patricia) was very professional and attentive, and she even prepared our coffee, which was excellent! They have a half-price pizza deal on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, so I will definitely be returning for more!

What can I say? I've been here twice, and I have to admit that the flavors have never disappointed me. On my first visit, I tried a slice of cheese pizza (square cut). It was quite delicious, and I could tell they use a blend of cheeses. It wasn't overly saucy, had the perfect amount of cheese, and the crust was fluffy without being too airy. During my second visit, I ordered the meat cake. The slices of ham were large, just the right thickness, and juicy. The pepperoni was thin but not overly crispy. The sauce was spot on, and the thickness of the pizza was just right, reminiscent of boutique shops. Overall, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is pleasant. I will definitely be coming back!
