Sushi Maki Coral Gables

This restaurant is one of the best sushi options in town! I have tried many sushi places, but this sushi maki is consistently one of my favorites. The sushi here is always fresh and the tempura is always crispy. We have tried several items on the menu and have always been satisfied with our orders. Our favorites are the dragon roll, the red dragon roll, and the Buddha cane roll. The service is also excellent. Leroy is the best, always friendly and attentive, and offers great suggestions. With delicious food and top-notch service, this place is hard to beat.

I absolutely loved the vibe of this restaurant! The fact that they were playing the movie Rush Hour at the time definitely added to the fun experience. The food was delicious, especially the tuna poke nachos which I highly recommend sharing with a friend. Plus, it's conveniently located near a local theater and bookshop, making it the perfect spot for a meal before or after browsing around.

We were a little disappointed with our recent experience at this restaurant. We had ordered takeout and found that our dumplings were not fully cooked, almost as if they were frozen and not properly heated. They were hard around the edges and overall our meal was not up to our usual expectations. The tempura was not crispy as it should be, but rather soft and mushy. The standout dish was the tuna-fishing roll, but we felt it was a bit underwhelming considering the price. While we may give it another try in the future, there are plenty of other sushi options in the area that we believe are better. It's a shame, as the restaurant is conveniently located close to us.

We were for a walk in the gables and decided to stop for sushi. we ordered 2 rolls – both were prepared decently and the fish tasted fresh. At 12:30 a.m. there was only one table, but it looked like you were taking orders. maybe that was really inappropriate to the service – wanted to ask for drinks refills, was handed over a box for our remaining items without service or ingwer or soße, as would be found in a delivery and we had the equivalent of a full roll left.

Me and my husband stopped here for a lunch time snack and we were surprised! We are so used to getting small rolls but these were larger and much more filling. So fresh and delicious! We left stuffed!
