Tabooleh Mediterranean Buffet

I wanted to try Tabooleh for lunch today. Since I am allergic to pine, I can not be the most authentic Mediterranean desserts, including baklava. I asked a waiter to be sure if the Desserts contain pine nuts, what they all did. About five minutes later the owner brought out and served me at my table, a whole plate of baklava without pine nuts. They made a record of baklava just for me! If you haven't tried Tabooleh yet, I would highly recommend it!!

The only way you eat is at home when your mother is Egyptian! Great selection of dishes everyone will find something delicious on this buffet of Arabic food! For those who are new, there are some explanations on the buffet table, as vegan elements are clearly marked. Also just stay gluten-free with this kitchen! Tabooleh has a beautiful atmosphere and good music gently in the background for those who want a bit exotic atmosphere. Looks like they have a side room for special parties!

We had dinner a few days ago and can’t wait to return! The menu offers a great variety of meat and vegan options, and there's a grill where the chef prepares various meats and vegetables right in front of you. The desserts were delicious, and the service was exceptionally attentive and friendly. We tried several dishes, all of which were fantastic, and we left feeling very satisfied. We're already looking forward to our next visit—highly recommended!

Excellent buffet. Well worth the ride from Davenport. I didn't want to stop eating, but my stomach was ready to burst. Some of the most delicate Gyro meat I've ever had. Super friendly service. Will definitely be back.

We went to Tabooleh a couple of days ago and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it. The food was phenomenal! And what a great idea, Mediterranean food as a buffet. As I am unfamiliar with it in general, I was able to try dishes I might not otherwise if I had to order individually. It was fresh, hot, and delicious! I spoke to the owner, Yasser, and he was so friendly and helpful, answering my question on ingredients and the names of dishes. It is already my favorite restaurant in the Iowa City/Coralville area and I've only been once. Please go, you will not regret it!!
