Lemon Grove Eatery - Cordele

We had great service, excellent food and reasonably priced. Our waitress was very friendly. We definitely stop again!

There aren't many good dining options in Cordele (not sure why and we ended up at 16 East. Driving up to the restaurant the curb appeal was high and the parking lot was pretty busy. Once inside the feeling was waaay less than we anticipated. Cement floors, hard surfaces, large damaged wall areas...simply put: The interior failed to live up to the very attractive exterior and entrance. ODD FACT: There are numerous TV's and they were showing an NFL game it was Thursday Night Football time. Yet, after checking our phones forgame updates, we were floored to discover they were showing a game that had been played five days earlier! Huh? The currently being played NFL game wasn't on. Very odd, we thought. The menu looked good and I made a pasta choice with a small concern that I would be disappointed judging from the poor atmosphere and interior areas obviously demanding maintenance attention. But happily my meal was really good and the draught beer was cold. So I say: good food/drink trumped the disappointing atmosphere. ODD FACT #2: Both when we arrived and when we departed there was a uniformed (off duty? police offer sitting in the lobby. Huh? What sorts of problems have they encountered at 16 East that requires a police presence? We didn't see anything off putting and the vibe didn't feel like trouble might be brewing....yet, there the policeman was...Odd.

Our food was really good!! We are just passing through for an overnight stay, so we are not familiar with the area, so we took a chance on this restaurant and it did not disappoint! All of our meals were very good, lots of flavor, great service, great atmosphere, highly recommend!

Enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and drinks at this bar and grill. Service was great, too. Will definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

Got take away burgers,salad, chicken tenders and Mac n cheese Everything was fantastic. Mac n cheese was my kids favorite. Even side salad was crisp n fresh. Highly recommend, will return.
