It was really busy but we were able to find a table in the Yard which is decorated with posters and paintings, old artefacts and plants and is surrounded by private rooms each with their own table but without windows so they seem part of the same space. Originally opened in 1880 and a meeting place for bullfighters, artists and intellectuals it has a feel of tradition. The staff were all friendly and welcoming despite being really busy. we shared a few dishes which were all good but I particularly liked the fried anchovies and the chorizo portions are generous. Would highly recommend and would definitely eat here again if we return.
Make sure you order the tomato soup (cold) thick and not your usual tomato soup experience! Very rich, but oh so good! Also the aubergine with honey delicious but order a salad to break through the richness! Muscles were also very good! Staff were lovely and attentive. We ate inside as outside was very busy, but we appreciated the aircon! Was a little confused though as I thought tapas was free down south lol!
We had an excellent meal. The Salmorejo was tasty. The grilled beef was excellent. The ensalata del casa was very good as well. The service was friendly and professional. A place we recommend.
Pleasant outdoor seating good service. Cogollos al ajillo (lettuce w fried garlic was interesting), fried anchovies good carrilada de cerdo was tender delicious. Good service despite busy lunch time crowd.
Good restaurant to try the different dishes of Cordoba gastronomy. generous rations and good value price. staff
