I thus wanted to have a really good steak experience in this city and read the tripadvisor reviews and decided to go to Patio de la Canada. I had the house salad (really good as well as the sirloin steak (de chorizo cut. This is one of the most expensive choices on the menu for the steaks but it works out to $8,60 or so with the current exchange rate of 43 to $1 . It was one of the best pieces of meat I have ever eaten. The texture of the meat was fine, the colour was light and it was very, very tasty. For travellers from countries like the USA or South Africa, where we are used to get a lot of bells and whistles when ordering a steak, this is not how it works in Argentina. When you order a steak a steak is what you get. No onion rings or chips or a side salad. It also isn 't served on some elaborate dish but rather on a steal plate. You can of course order all of these extra. The place was pretty full (I arrived early to get a table and during the evening some people were told that they would have to wait up to 40 minutes, depending on the size of their party. The whole meal (the house salad, the steak, sparkling water, a coffee and the tip of 13% came to 700 peos $16.27 I highly recommend this restaurant. For the quality of the food and the price (even though it is because of the skewed exchange rate at the moment , you won 't easily do better.
A nice place to discover the Argentinian specialities as well as the specialties from Cordoba. The wine list is impressive too. Definitely a place to go in Cordoba.
Clearly I’m not Argentinian, but Probably better service if you are a local, waiter really was terrible. Meat served with heaps of salt. Cuts of meat looked 100% better on the table adjacent. Wouldn’t rate it but the restaurant was busy so I think it was just my experience..
Had my first lunch in Córdoba after asking what was the best asado in town. During my 4 months in Córdoba and after trying many of the other options, I found myself going back to Patio de la Cañada several times: the juicy, flavorful meat cooked to perfection, the nice wine list (with several 3/4 bottle options in case you are by yourself and don 't want to drink too much), the friendly professional service. I went by myself a couple of times, with friends and co-workers, and even had a large group (30 people) farewell dinner. I always left happy. I 've never been too keen on organs, except sweetbreads (which are delicious here; again, the best in Córdoba), but a co-worker, a local encouraged me to try the kidney. Religious experience! I was blown away by the wonderful flavor. This parrilla restaurant will not disappoint.
We didn 't want the rather modern places so went for this one ... and enjoyed it very much! Great meat plates; friendly personnel, good wines and not expensive at all.
