The produce was all local produce and cook freshly cooked when ordered. The staff were great when we asked for breakfast we...were told they had finished cooking breakfast but they would rustle us one up. Thank you it was excellent we loved the sausages so much we went and bought some to take home. When in the market please try this cafe you won't be disappointed.
On a little stroll around Cork City I found this place in the English Market. What a little spot. Friendly staff, quaint atmosphere and great food. Soup and a Wrap I'll definitely call here again
Always trying to find new places to eat, my partner and I stopped off here while strolling through the English Market. Its a tiny little café with a lovely array of fresh cakes and sandwiches. Our soup and sandwich combos were delish. My only quam...with the cafe was that the server really didn't seem interested in being there. Even when thanking her for the gorgeous food and tipping her, received hardly any response what so ever. Maybe she was just having an off day (understandable as I also work in hospitality) It didn't affect how much we enjoyed the food though, which was a lot. Pop in if you're passing by.
Visited the English Market today. While walking by this tiny cafe and looking at there luscious goods....We had to sit and taste!!! Two coffees and tea for two. No of course we didn't stop there!!! Haahaaa Huge piece of Lemon Meringue pie...real pucker of lemon!!!...Chocolate cheese cake gobbled up by our year old..but of course we all had a share!! I had pear tart...firm and juicy with a crisp flakey base and lastly a slice of chocolate fudge cake no picture available as our year old could wait!!! Great staff!! Cool people watching place to sit. Be warned you may get stared at by young children drooling who are passing by!!!
I did a semester in Cork years ago, so when we were visiting now I was showing my husband around to areas I remembered. We were a bit tired and needing to eat and happened to walk into side of the English Market that...is nearest Cafe Anraith and the menu sounded good. I'm so glad we did. The grill was down at the time, but I think I'm glad because my goat cheese sandwich was amazing! It was so huge that I couldn't eat it all and took the rest to eat later. The prices were great too.
