Fernroyd House - Cork

The hosts, breakfast, and room were fantastic. I would definitely stay again if I was in Cork.

I don't even know where to begin with this review. This B&B is by far the best I have ever stayed in. It feels more like a boutique hotel than a typical B&B. The level of service here is exceptional. The hosts greet you at the door with a friendly welcome, make sure you're settled in your parking spot, offer you a welcome drink, and escort you to the beautifully maintained rooms. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic and incredibly fresh. The location is ideal, just a 10-minute walk from the city center and a minute away from a charming walkway in Mardyke. I have nothing but praise for this place and want to thank the hosts once again for their warm welcome and hospitality.

Avril and Tony were the most kind and generous hosts we have ever stayed with. We were moving our daughter to the University College Cork for a year of study abroad, and they were extremely helpful in every way possible. They truly exceed expectations to ensure your stay is comfortable, and are genuinely caring individuals. Our room had everything we needed and was very cozy. The bathroom was spotless and the shower had excellent water pressure. Their breakfast was always delicious with a good variety of options. The location was ideal for us, as we were right next to UCC, a short 15-minute walk to the city center, 15 minutes to our daughter's new apartment, and close to Fitzgerald's Park. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cork.

We were warmly welcomed and immediately given tips for the Cork area, things to do and restaurants, including a city map. The room was great and the breakfast selection was varied and delicious. The city center is easily accessible on foot.

My stay at Fernroyd House really made my brief visit to Cork. Avril and Tony were the most excellent and welcoming hosts, who could not do enough for you it really was home from home. I shall hopefully visit again in the New Year and recommend this accomodation whole heartedly it is so clean and comfortable, situated in a very peaceful location next to the University. Excellent.
