Contribuisci feedbackI enjoy the fresh, well-prepared food with generous portions at this restaurant. Another bonus is the complimentary soft serve when dining in. The 8 for 8 deal is fantastic as well, offering the chance to try a variety of dishes on different days.
I go here about once a week, usually when the 6 before 6 is something I like. As the name of the offer suggests it costs €6 for a main if ordered before 6PM. You also get a a cone for the ice cream machine with that. Normal mains prices are about €11 €12 I think. The quality of the food is quite good. Not amazing but definitely of a good standard. The selection is very good. Definitely recommend.
We arrived at the restaurant right at noon when it opened on January 19th, and they were fully prepared to start serving food. The restaurant was clean and well-organized. We decided to try the daily specials in order to switch things up (we tend to always order the same thing). The special dish of the day was a Japanese noodle dish with chicken. The girls ordered the fried chicken, which was tasty, freshly cooked, and served quickly. When we requested blackcurrant drinks, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they were complimentary at the counter. To our delight, every order came with a free ice cream cone that you could serve yourself. It's possible that this is why our kids always ask to come back to this restaurant. We dined in and our total bill came in at under 30 euros. It's no surprise that the restaurant was full by the time we left.
This Ramen outlet has reasonably good quality food but unfortunately, it's not at the level of their sister outlets in Cork. The portions are really big so make sure you're hungry when you visit. Staff are friendly and service was excellent.
Myself and my husband love the red masaman curry in Ramen Ballincollig. Also, I suffer from chrons and have to avoid a lot of allergens. Ramen is ideal as it is delicious and is allergen friendly. Myself and my husband go here once a week and order the same dish, the red masaman with no meet/tofu but with extra potatoes. When the kitchen get this right it is delicious.However on multiple occasions we got this dish with hardly any potatoes and white rice. This is extremely unfair as we are paying the same price as people who get meat in their dish which is the most expensive ingredient. We complained on the Ramen website and to be fair Deirdre responded straight away and said this would not happen again.It did happen again.Also as our order is a bit different we cannot order online so we must ring in. The Ramen staff answer the phone and hang up. Another time I asked for brown rice and got white rice.When I said this politely, the chef looked like he was going to spit and me and left me waiting for 10 mins to get me brown rice while my curry went cold. We have not been back in 2 months and now go to Kanok Thai which is delicious, our order is always correct and they answer their phones. I work hard all week and expect more for my hard earned pay.
